Groovy man...

You may have noticed that the online daily comics are now in color. I color the Sundays myself, but the new dailies are colored by someone else (I'm not sure who). As a control freak when it comes to my comics, I'm hyperventilating a little bit.
So the question is, do these first comics seem a little psychedelic, or am I just overreacting? I feel like there is a LOT of yellow. Thoughts?

I thought it was pretty cool. I don't think they look weird, although it'd be cooler if I knew you were coloring them. It was kind of a dissapointment to find out otherwise. Way to ruin the effect, jeez!

It's all an illusion! Here's another secret... Garfield has been played by six different cats. Five of them are now dead.

Oh man, I'm so disillusioned. :-P Love the strip!

Could you offer to color them yourself and keep the control?

Today's actually would have made more sense in black and white, simply because my first glance literalism said "those yellow birds don't belong with those black ones".

Sidenote: Tony, you've been on a huge roll lately! I've been loving 'em.

I'm going to be honest. The weekday cartoons look like they were painted by the John Deere company.

You know the little color picker box in PhotoShop? Seems like you pick all your colors from the top left. This cat is way off to the right.

You should make a little diagram of a PhotoShop dialog box and circle the F-Minus appropriate color area.

I do like the fact that they are going color, although the colorist might need an "Approved by Tony color pallette".

Oh, the iron-on tatoos from last Sunday about had me falling out of my chair. Awesome!

I agree with sabai. The bird comic would have made much more sense in black and white, and it seems like the comics lose a little something when they are done in color.

yeah, i noticed that. i figured someone else was doing it cause all the colors seem too bright and weird

What's the name of the artist who asks his model to drink Corona and use their pee in the yellow paint?

Wow, yeah. Why is someone else coloring them? Today's strip about the obsolete technology was sure brilliance.

The color is a fun addition. I wonder what my comic would look like in color? Anyway your comics content has been incredible lately. Wherever your getting your ideas (ASU Coffee Shop?) do not let them go out of BUSINESS!

I don't think I would like someone else coloring my artwork- yes it is control but it really should be in the artists hands, not a stranger. Hey when I was asked to fill out the WORD VERIFICATION on the comment page it read bitch- now what was that about and should I be offended????

It's been a while, but I'm starting to get used to the funky coloring. There is a pretty significant difference between Sunday/Weekday coloring. Perhaps they are just hiring kindergartners to color inside the lines for the weekdays? They work way cheap!

Today's colors weren't bad. Maybe the mystery colorer is getting better.

you need to blog!

The color has gotten more appropriate.

So Tony, what are you going to be for Halloween?

you need to update your blog. you have no idea how boring the last few weeks at work have been.
